The Hellenic Center for Disease Control and Prevention (HCDCP) is a Governmental Organization, established with Law 2071/92 and has operated since then. It is supervised and funded directly by the Ministry of Health.

According to HCDCP’s founding legislation, its main purposes are:

To attain these objectives, HCDCP cooperates closely with ministries, local governments, universities, laboratories and public health stakeholders in Greece and abroad, such as the World Health Organization, the United Nations, the European Centre for Disease Prevention and Control (ECDC), the Center for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) etc.

Our primary concern is the protection of Public Health and the specific, vulnerable population groups; we are committed to social responsibility, with a modern concept of health policy.
