OBJECT

Foodborne and waterborne diseases unit is responsible for the surveillance of the diseases transmitted via contaminated food or water.

ACTIVITIES

Main fields of actions include:

A. The coordination of foodborne diseases’ surveillance

B. Evaluation of foodborne diseases’ surveillance system

C. Analysis and interpretation of the collected epidemiological data

D. Investigation of sporadic cases and outbreaks of foodborne diseases

E. Scientific advice

F. Training of health professionals and public

G. Collaboration with other bodies

H. Collaboration with international organizations
